Is Kadogo really free?
Yes. No card, no trial clock, nothing to cancel. You get 300 credits to start; when they run out you can top up or move to Solo — or stop, and owe nothing.
What exactly is a credit?
One credit is one cent of platform usage at cost. Everything draws on the same balance: a typical AI-answered question costs about 5–15 credits depending on the model, a query costs a fraction of a credit per gigabyte scanned, and storage draws about 2 credits per gigabyte per month.
What happens when my credits run out?
On Kadogo and Solo, work pauses until you top up or your month renews — your spend can never run away from you. You can buy more credits at any time, on any plan.
Do you charge per seat?
No. Kadogo and Solo are single-person plans. Team is one price for as many people as you like — adding a colleague never costs extra.
Can I use my own AI assistant?
Yes, on every plan. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, or any assistant over MCP and it works over your governed data — with the same purpose checks, masking, and access records as ours. On Team you can also plug in your own model provider and API keys.
Are the governance features extra?
No. Contracts, masking, purpose checks, and access records are on every plan, including the free one. They are why the platform is safe to use, so they are never an upsell.
What about datasets from the marketplace?
Plans cover what you run on Griot. Datasets listed in the marketplace are priced separately by the organisations that publish them, on the terms shown with each listing.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from your plan page. You keep what remains of the month you paid for, and nothing renews after that.
